I know I haven't posted in awhile, millions of loyal readers (OK, readeR -- HI MOM!)

I know it's the future and all, but something bothers me about the ubiquity of the digital camera.  Seriously people, there was a time you had to think about taking pictures.

Now it's just something you do and put on Facebook, so your friends can make obnoxious comments about you, or tag a keg as the resident lush in your circle of friends.

People. STOP. Think about photography.  Turn it back into an art.  Shoot with a film camera -- this is mine.  Use your mind's eye before you depend on an LCD.  Ansel Adams would roll in his grave if he saw what photography has become.

My birthday is in 2 days!!! It's going to be so much fun. I'll be getting together with some friends that I haven't seen in like forever, and we're going to go out friday night. I don't know what we're going to be doing-they want it to be a surprise, but knowing them it'll be awesome.

Some people have asked me why I'm called Jangliss. I took the name Janice after reading I Never Promised You a Rose Garden. A couple months ago this surfaced. and Jangliss became my nickname,  first as a joke but then it caught on.

Light conversation is b.s. I have never seen the value in conversations that last for hours containing nothing of any consequence. Perhaps this is a major flaw in me, but I prefer arguing over something important to agreeing on an inanity.
